The Colsons headed to Utah from Texas for their Bear Lake vacation. They wanted to have their family photos taken in an area that not only showed off the mountain scenery around the lake, but also a spot where lake's bright blue water was visible.

I originally scouted out a different spot that I was super excited about. However, on my way up to Bear Lake, nature had other plans. As soon as I pulled up to the mouth of Logan Canyon, police were closing it down due to a wildfire that broke out. After rerouting through Preston, Idaho, I found out that the spot I originally scouted out was also closed due to the fire. Luckily, I was able to use an alternative spot that I had scouted out just in case, and it ended up being absolutely perfect.

This family photoshoot was so fun! I enjoyed being able to shoot a classic family session while also incorporating creative poses that added some fun to the shoot.
